Non ti allarmare: at REAS the AiFOS educational project dedicated to children and adults

On the occasion of REAS 2022, AiFOS presents “Non ti allarmare”, a project dedicated to children and adults that aims to convey the correct behaviors to be followed in alarm and emergency contexts.

The game was specifically studied and used for the first time at the end of a training course, by the I.C. Castiglione – Camugnano – SanBenedetto, called “Sicuri in un paese sicuro” which took place in May in Castiglione dei Pepoli (BO) and which also involved the volunteers of the Castiglione dei Pepoli Civil Protection Volunteers Association.

The project was born from the idea of involving school-age children (6-10 years) in exploring and knowing the correct behaviors related to the emergency and to the activation of rescue and at the same time also understanding the errors that can be made in the activation. the emergency itself (unnecessary calls, incorrect information, etc.) or in daily activities.

As part of REAS, AiFOS will propose the project in two distinct moments: a session for children scheduled for Friday 7 October at 9.30 and a second designed for adults to be held on Sunday 9 October, again at 9.30.

Telecommunications and rescue operations: the Mediarkè conference at REAS

Fast and safe telecommunications are essential to better manage rescue and civil protection operations in the event of serious emergencies. Yet in the event of earthquakes, floods, serious fires or other disasters, fixed telecommunications networks are often damaged or only blocked by calls from the alarmed civilian population. This will be the theme of the conference “SOS, emergency communications. The latest telecommunication technologies for rescue and civil protection operations ”, which will take place on Saturday 8 October during REAS 2022 at Centro Fiera Montichiari (Scalvini Room, first floor, central entrance, 2 pm).

The conference will see the interventions of some experts and professionals in the sector, who will present the activities of their organizations and their experiences in the restoration of telecommunications in the event of serious accidents or natural disasters. The detailed program will be announced shortly. The organization is organized by the Roman company Mediarkè.

AIB round table: on Sunday 9 October at REAS the point on forest fire fighting

Fires continue to rage throughout Italy, thanks to the high temperatures and the lack of rain: from last January to today, 227.46 square kilometers of woods and forests have gone up in smoke in our country due to 201 large fires . It is as if the fire had destroyed an area equal to the city of Forlì or the island of Elba. This is what emerges from the latest data from EFFIS, the European information system on forest fires of the EU Commission. The first assessment of the activities of this disastrous new season in the fight against fires will be drawn up in the context of REAS 2022, the twenty-first edition of the International Emergency Exhibition, which will take place from 7 to 9 October at the Centro Fiera Montichiari (Brescia ).

In fact, as usual, the fair will host the AIB Round Table entitled “The summer twinning of the AIB 2022 Campaign” scheduled for Sunday 9 October, starting at 9.45 am. The appointment, coordinated by Franco Pasargiklian, director of the Italian Civil Protection magazine, will compare the main players in the national AIB system: Department of Civil Protection, National Fire Brigade Command, Regions, AIB Volunteer. The summer of 2022, in fact, sees the persistence of drought and lack of rainfall which can only aggravate an already critical situation. The Round Table will be an opportunity to draw up an initial assessment of the “AIB summer twinning”, decided by the Department of Civil Protection and the Regions to intensify operational collaboration in the management of forest fires.

REAS 2022 towards sold-out: the fire-fighting sector is growing

The fire-fighting sector is of fundamental importance in emergency management. This is an area that has always had ample space at REAS, the leading trade fair in Italy for the sector, completed by the macro-sectors dedicated to civil protection and first aid. In the 2022 edition, scheduled from 7 to 9 October at Centro Fiera Montichiari, the exhibition spaces dedicated to fire prevention have increased significantly, confirming how specialized companies in the sector are experiencing a phase of investment and product innovation.

“The number of companies in the fire-fighting sector that will exhibit at REAS is growing rapidly”, explains Ezio Zorzi, director of the Centro Fiera Montichiari. “We will have the presence and return to the fair of national and international production companies that choose REAS to better control the Italian market, one of the most complete and diversified in Europe. During our presence at the INTERSCHUTZ edition last June in Hanover, we collected important confirmations and a considerable interest in REAS. The conditions are in place for a 2022 edition among the best ever. “.

In addition to the growth on the exhibition front, the fire prevention sector will be at the center of REAS’s conference proposal. In particular, the theme of forest fires will be the subject of the AIB Round Table entitled “The summer twinning of the AIB 2022 Campaign” scheduled for Friday 7 October, starting at 2.30 pm.
