Record numbers for the REAS 2022 international exhibition, the great annual event for the emergency, civil protection, first aid and firefighting sectors. The twenty-first edition, which will take place from 7 to 9 October at the Centro Fiera di Montichiari (Brescia), will in fact see significant growth: over 240 exhibitors will be present, from Italy and 19 other countries (including Germany, France, Poland, Great Britain, United States, Canada, Australia, China and South Korea), on a total exhibition area of over 30 thousand square meters that will occupy the 8 halls of the exhibition center. Among the numerous events scheduled, there is a conference on the measures adopted in Italy to deal with the humanitarian emergency caused by the war in Ukraine, which will be attended by, among others, the head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabrizio Curcio, and the Ukrainian ambassador. in Italy, Yaroslav Melnyk. A round table will instead be dedicated to the latest forest fire campaign and to the collaboration between the various regions to manage the fires that have also broken out this year throughout the peninsula. Some side events are also scheduled, such as an educational project for children on emergencies, a basic course for civil protection volunteers and a joint exercise with the participation of state bodies and volunteer groups.
