The contest, promoted by REAS in collaboration with Photogek Fenaroli atelier, is aimed at volunteers and all those who care about emergency management. The shots will be able to portray the activities carried out in the field and the services provided in emergency contexts but also the daily activity carried out within an association or group active in the area.

The 2024 edition will have the theme: “My association for the emergency: ideals, daily commitment, team spirit“.

The Jury, made up of professional photographers and representatives of the institutions, will reward the photographs that are able to convey what it means to be part of a group or association for emergency management, what the ordinary and extraordinary activity of volunteers and operators consists of and what values are the basis of their commitment.

The winning work will be included in REAS promotional materials and will accompany the dissemination activities that the project dedicates to the world of emergency volunteering, carried out in collaboration with bodies, institutions and companies in the sector.

The award ceremony for the winning photographs will be held on Sunday 4 October, in the entrance foyer in the presence of the authorities.

Un concorso nato per raccontare attraverso la fotografia lo spirito di chi opera nei contesti di emergenza, realizzato in collaborazione con lo studio fotografico Photogek.

Stamattina, nel foyer del Centro Fiera di Montichiari, si è tenuta la premiazione dei vincitori. Al primo posto si è classificato Swen Baldinger con la fotografia dal titolo ”Corpo Civici Pompieri Bellinzona – Gruppo fotografi”. Svizzero di Bellinzona, Baldinger opera come vigile del fuoco volontario e, nel corso della premiazione, ha raccontato nel dettaglio il momento dello scatto, avvenuto durante un intervento molto delicato che ha coinvolto la squadra di cui fa parte.

Il secondo premio è andato allo scatto dal titolo ”Passione nell’emergenza” di Alessio Funghi del Corpo nazionale dei Vigili del Fuoco. Anche questa fotografia realizzata durante un intervento di antincendio boschivo evidenzia il ruolo fondamentale del volontario e l’importanza della componente umana. A consegnare i premi sono intervenuti, oltre al direttore del Centro Fiera di Montichiari Ezio Zorzi e al direttore generale Hannover Fairs International Andreas Züge, Karl-Heinz Banse, presidente dell’Associazione Tedesca dei Vigili del Fuoco (DFV) e Dirk Aschenbrenner, presidente dell’Associazione tedesca per la Promozione della Protezione Antincendio (vfdb).

Al terzo posto si sono classificati Marco Mordini e Luca Mariani con la fotografia dal titolo ”Pubblica Assistenza Vimodrone: Noi Per Voi”. Gli autori dello scatto non erano presenti di persona perché impegnati nell’attività di volontariato della propria associazione e sono stati premiati durante la loro visita a REAS di sabato. A sottolineare l’efficacia e la carica emotiva della loro opera è intervenuta Gloria Fenaroli dello studio fotografico Photogek in qualità di componente della giuria tecnica.

Anche nel Photo contest REAS, dunque, è emersa l’importanza di gestire le emergenze collaborando a livello europeo, mettendo in comune esperienze e tecnologie.

Dopo il successo dell’esordio, il Photo contest REAS tornerà anche nel 2023. Nel mese di novembre verrà annunciato il tema dell’edizione del prossimo anno e le informazioni per partecipare.
