Internationalization and growth for REAS at INTERSCHUTZ 2022: the October edition starts to sell out
Internationalization, promotion of the Italian emergency system and new contacts: in the 2022 edition of INTERSCHUTZ, the most important fair in the world dedicated to the safety sector which was held from 20 to 25 June in Hanover, REAS, the leading fair in Italy for the emergency sector played a leading role, preparing the ground for the edition scheduled from 7 to 9 October at Centro Fiera Montichiari.
INTERSCHUTZ offered the best of world production dedicated to emergency management, particularly in the fire-fighting sector. The event, therefore, was an opportunity to strengthen the international dimension of REAS, involving new foreign buyers and expanding the exhibition offer.
“The presence at INTERSCHUTZ has served to strengthen the bond with the international companies already present at REAS and above all to establish new contacts”, explains Ezio Zorzi, director of the Montichiari Exhibition Center. “We have found great interest in REAS from numerous European buyers who are already planning their visit to the fair. Also on the exhibition front, the signs are positive. For many international companies, our event is an access point and reference for the Italian market and the whole of Southern Europe. The edition of REAS next October is growing with the prospect of sold out of the exhibition spaces. ”
REAS, INTERSCHUTZ’s partner fair, participated with a stand within the Italian collective and above all was at the center of the “Country Partner Day“, an event entirely dedicated to our country which was held on Wednesday 22 June.
The “Country Partner Day” counted on the participation of the Head of the Civil Protection Department Fabrizio Curcio who was able to illustrate the peculiarities of the Italian emergency management system to the European partners. Amedeo Aristei, central director of the Civil Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia, studied the specificities of the region’s forest fire prevention system and the methods of intervention of specialized volunteer groups. The all-out confrontation coordinated by Andreas Züge, general manager of Hannover Fairs International GmbH, also saw the participation of Dirk Aschenbrenner, president of the vfdb, Cimolino Hulrik, referent of the vfdb, and Marco Ghimenti, central director for the Emergency, the Technical Rescue and the Fire Brigade of the Fire Brigade.
At the conclusion of the Italy Partner Country Day, REAS and the Montichiari Exhibition Center thanked the partners of INTERSCHUTZ and Fiera di Hannover with a plaque commemorating ten years of collaboration in the REAS project.
The awards went to Dirk Aschenbrenner, president of the German fire protection association vfdb, and Karl-Heinz Banse, president of the German fire brigade DFV, associations that number more than 1,300,000 volunteers, as well as Heinz-Peter Brandenberg and Matthias Ludwig, leading exponents of the vfdb, Bernd Heinold, head of INTERSCHUTZ of Deutsche Messe, Andreas Züge, general manager of Hannover Fairs International GmbH, the Italian branch of Deutsche Messe and, collectively, to all the staff of Hannover Fairs International GmbH of Milan which, for ten years, has been making an essential contribution to the success and internationalization of REAS.

The partnership between Centro Fiera Montichiari and Hannover Fairs International GmbH, born in 2013, has increased the international appeal of the REAS brand, attracting delegations of foreign buyers and exhibiting companies to the event, already a leader in Italy for the emergency sector. The excellent results collected at INTERSCHUTZ are the best encouragement for the edition of REAS scheduled from 7 to 9 October at Centro Fiera Montichiari which promises to be increasingly structured, qualified and high-profile.
